Welcome to Xasi
Bringing you centuries of East African skincare supercharged by
science. Xasi skincare was founded by four sisters Dr Amatullah, Dr Fatima, Sagal and Samira.
Botanically based, the benefits of East African skincare have been passed down through generations of women. Through isolating powerful actives of traditional East African botanicals, the sisters have used their background to bring you innovative science backed formulas designed to deliver the enhanced benefits of nature’s kitchen.
Our Journey
We founded this company as four sisters with extensive healthcare experience. Co-founder Sagal studied phytomedicine (the use of plant extracts for medicinal purposes) during her pharmacy degree. We used this pharmaceutical knowledge to deep dive into the science behind the Ziziphus Christi tree which has been used for centuries in East Africa; focussing on how it could be incorporated into everyday skincare routines. Dr Amatullah and Dr Fatima have also worked to ensure our formulas support a holistic approach to skin health.
Meet the founders
- Dr Amatullah and Fatima Hashi, both GPs have over 15 years of clinical medicine experience between them.
- Samira Hashi is an experienced optometrist specialising in eye health.
- Sagal Hashi has specialised as both a clinical and formulary pharmacist and focuses on bringing evidence based principles into practice.
